We scan available registers
Available local-authority registers across your range, checked for commercial planning approvals from the last 28 days. Decisions, not rumours.
We identify the company
Each project is categorised, given an indicative value band, and matched against Companies House so you know who is behind it.
Your private pack
Every matched project: what was approved, where, who applied, and a link to the full plans. Personally reviewed and usually delivered within one working day.
Know the project, the public contacts and the timing signal.

Buy back the hours spent checking planning portals.
The public data is free. Finding it across councils, removing domestic noise, matching it to your trade and checking who is behind each scheme is the work KnockFirst does for you.
Be the first in your patch, literally.
KnockFirst is brand new, which is exactly why it works: most subcontractors in your area have never seen an approval-timed project list. Early pack buyers get their patch set up personally and help shape what we build next.
One pack. One payment. No renewal.
- This month's approved commercial projects in your patch
- Up to 20 leads, filtered to your trade
- Public applicant or agent identified where available

Questions subcontractors ask us.
Where does the data come from?
Public council planning registers and Companies House, the same information anyone can look up for free. The difference is we search the available registers across your range, filter out householder noise, and identify the company or professional agent where the public records support a match. Doing that manually can take hours across a patch.
Can I actually contact these companies?
Many corporate applicants and agents can be approached under UK B2B marketing rules, but sole traders and individuals have stronger protections. Verify the recipient type, identify yourself, and provide a valid opt-out address. Each lead links the planning record and, where matched, the Companies House entry. See the ICO's B2B marketing guidance.
Why approvals and not applications?
Applications can be refused, redesigned or shelved. Approval clears one major hurdle and gives you a stronger project signal to investigate. It does not guarantee construction, but it is a practical public moment to identify the team and make a relevant introduction.
What kind of projects will I see?
Offices, retail and shopfits, hospitality conversions, industrial units, residential developments, external refurbishments and recladding, schools, clinics and care settings. Filtered to the categories that mean work for your trade.
How fresh are the leads?
The one-off pack covers decisions from the previous 28 days. Council registers update at slightly different speeds, so occasionally a decision appears a few days after it was made. Still weeks ahead of anyone waiting for hoardings to go up.
What if there is nothing suitable in my patch?
Quiet periods do happen, and volume depends on your trade, radius and the council registers available in your patch. If no project reasonably matches the trade and radius you supplied, tell us within seven days of delivery and we’ll refund the pack price.
What exactly is in the £19.99 pack?
Up to 20 relevant commercial planning approvals identified in your patch from the last 28 days, filtered to your trade: project description, address, category, indicative value band, public applicant or agent details (matched to Companies House where possible), a suggested first move, and a link to the council record. Delivered by private link, usually within one working day.
Is the pack a subscription?
No. The pack costs £19.99 once and never renews. If it proves useful, you can ask about weekly delivery later; it is not part of this checkout.
